The WellO2 breathing exercise device is easy to use

The WellO2 has infinitely adjustable breathing resistance, which means that both beginners and more experienced breathers can benefit from the exercise. You can also choose the temperature of the steam from three temperature options to suit your needs and preferences.

The WellO2 breathing exercise device can be used both orally and through the nose. When practiced orally, the warm steam is directed precisely to the pharynx, while with the nasal mask, the exercise also moisturises the nasal mucosa, opens a stuffy nose and strengthens the small muscles of the nose and nasopharynx.

What is WellO2?

The WellO2 is a lung-strengthening breathing exercise device that combines counter-pressure breathing on the way in and out and warm steam inhalation. The device develops and maintains respiratory fitness.

How does WellO2 work?

The user performs breathing exercises with the WellO2. The user first blows into the device and then draws air back into the lungs from the device. The device resists breathing and at the same time produces warm steam in the airways. Counter-pressure breathing strengthens the respiratory system while the warm steam opens and moistens the airways. So there are several breathing and wellness methods in the device, but only one device.

What are the benefits of this device?

There are many benefits to using WellO2. Firstly, strengthening the respiratory system develops respiratory strength, which increases performance and makes it easier to cope with everyday life.

Secondly, the device opens up airways and makes it easier to cough up mucus from the airways, so those with more persistent or intermittent congestion will find relief from their breathlessness.

Is the WellO2 device personal or can several people use the same device?

WellO2 can be used by more than one person. The kit comes with three different coloured mouthpieces so that different people can identify their own mouthpieces. The other parts of the device can be shared.

Why are some people banned from using the WellO2 device?

The WellO2 device has not yet been tested in the treatment of diseases or their symptoms. The WellO2 device has also not yet been classified as a medical device, which means that it could be recommended for the treatment of a specific disease. However, we do have a lot of user experience with the WellO2 from people with a respiratory disease.

Breathing against resistance is commonly used to treat the symptoms of asthma and COPD. Most people with respiratory problems also use warm steam to help them feel better, for example by breathing into a boiler.

Respiratory arrest is a medical condition during which you must not use any form of resistance breathing equipment.
